Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Gysselle Soto has always been fueled by competition. A former multi-sport high school athlete, she went on to compete in collegiate softball at Whittier College while earning her degree in Kinesiology — developing the strength, discipline, and athletic intelligence that now define her game.

She discovered pickleball in 2023 and quickly made her mark. Just two years into the sport, Gysselle earned gold in the 4.5 division at her first tournament in July 2025 — a testament to her rapid development and competitive edge.

Known for her athleticism, court coverage, and relentless energy, she competes with confidence and composure well beyond her years in the sport.

Off the court, Gysselle mentors youth as a Teacher’s Assistant and recreational leader, coaching basketball and helping young athletes build confidence through sports. She brings that same leadership and intensity to LA Heat.
